Popis: MUCHA MUSEUM (MUCHOVO MUZEUM) The Mucha Museum was established in 1998, becoming the world's first museum dedicated exclusively to the life and work of Alfons Mucha (1860–1939). Located in the historic Kaunický Palace, near Wenceslas Square, the museum presents a collection of almost 100 original artworks from the former private collection of Ivan Lendl, the world-famous Czechoslovak tennis player. Mucha became internationally famous in Paris during the late 19th century, particularly for his Art Nouveau posters featuring elegant women, flowers, and decorative patterns. The museum displays original lithographs, posters, drawings, and other artworks, showcasing Mucha's distinctive artistic style. Unlike the Mucha Foundation Art Museum, this museum focuses on presenting original works rather than reproductions. Visitors can also explore a museum shop offering posters, books, and souvenirs inspired by Mucha's artwork.
