Popis: CHARLES BRIDGE MUSEUM (MUZEUM KARLOVA MOSTU) The Charles Bridge Museum is located right next to Charles Bridge, in the historic building of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, near Old Town Square. The museum explores the fascinating history of Charles Bridge, built in 1357 under King Charles IV, and its predecessor, Judith Bridge, which was destroyed by a major flood in 1342. Visitors can discover detailed models of medieval bridge construction, historical photographs, original stone sculptures, and archaeological remains. One of the museum's highlights is the opportunity to see the original foundations of Judith Bridge, dating back to the 12th century. The exhibition also explains how medieval builders constructed the bridge without modern technology and how it survived centuries of floods and wars.
